Resources Records Management The Records Management (RM) policy and associated records retention schedule forms part of an overarching Information management framework (http://resources.glos.ac.uk/publications/irsp/index.cfm ), that was approved by EPRC in January 2011. The creation and disposal of information within a controlled environment of Information Security (ISO 27001), is particularly important to the institution in this passage of time in terms of space and financial constraints. A Records Management Policy combined with a records retention schedule provides a framework in which the organisation can identify the type(s) of information held, and a disposal strategy that is based on guidance and good practice from the sector.
