Student Experience
Sports Coaches and Volunteers
Scheme The Sports Coaches and Volunteers (SportsCV) Scheme enables the students of the University of Gloucestershire to give something back to the local communities within the county.
Background
The SportsCV Scheme was designed to:
- Enable students to enhance their curriculum vitae, obtain valuable vocational volunteering experiences plus achieve a recognised National Governing Body Coaching Award
- Provide the local community with dedicated student volunteers to help deliver and manage new and existing sporting and physical activity opportunities
Each student is mentored to ensure both the individual and organisations have a positive experience
Student volunteers, who are CRB checked through the University, are placed in schools or clubs and given the opportunity to help at one-off sporting festivals and events based within Gloucestershire

Volunteering Hours
Level 1 20 hours
Level 2 30 hours
