Gloucestershire Poets, Writers and Artists Collection


Books from the University Archives The GPWA Collection is an umbrella collection incorporating works and material of a literary or artistic nature relating to Gloucestershire. Each of the collections is slowly expanding, either through purchases or donations by individuals, societies or the collection owners. At present the greater part of this collection has been gifted to the University although some is on long-term donation. The collection first started in 1995 as the Dymock Poets Archive and Study Centre but has expanded to incorporate other notable collections. Mostly a book collection, there are some manuscript items, journals, audio-visual material and ephemera.
