ICT Training

ICT training is available for staff on all campuses. Two hour short courses are delivered on a regular basis by the ICT Training Officer, Jane Robinson, for Windows Vista, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher & Visio. Windows 7 and Office 2010 upgrade training is also now available.  ICT Induction courses are scheduled weekly for new members of staff. Log into Staff Records online to search for a course & to book a place. Training notes on all of the above can be downloaded by following the Course Notes link on this page.

If a course is not available at a convenient time or place, do check again at a later date or contact Jane Robinson (ICT Training Officer) on 01242 715415 if you have an urgent requirement.

One to one training is also available together with customised courses for departments and teams upon request.

E-Learning & Microsoft Certification

In addition, e-learning for the Microsoft Office suite of applications can be installed on your University PC.  If you would like to take advantage of this resource, log a call with the ICT Helpdesk to request the installation of the Gmetrix software and contact the ICT Training Officer for your access code. The Gmetrix software is also a useful resource to test your Microsoft Office skills to prepare you for Microsoft Certification exams. If you would like to become a Microsoft Office Specialist, Expert or Master - contact the ICT Training Officer.
