Postgraduate Taught Students

The PTES is here!

What’s the PTES? It’s the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey. A national online survey, organised by the Higher Education Academy, for all postgraduate taught students (including professional and PGCE).  It’s your chance to let us know about what you think about your university experience as a whole, so that we can improve the experience for current and future students.

You’ll be given the opportunity to complete the survey anytime between now and 25th April.

A personal email invitation with a link to the survey will be sent to eligible PGT students, so watch your university email account!

Please do take the time to give us your views.

Dr Ben Calvert - Chair of National Student Surveys Steering Group and Dean of Media, Art and Communications
Dr Pam Wells - HEA Adviser
Professor Chris Park - Chair of the HEA PRES and PTES steering groups

The PTES ran as a trial in 2009 and the results of this can be found on the Higher Education Academy’s website.

Subterranean Architecture Stepwells in North Western India & the Jagmandir Series
Stepwells, which have been built in India for over a thousand years, were constructed to provide access to groundwater and to retain water from the annual monsoon in desert regions.  As their names suggest the means of this access was by way of a series of steps, descending from the ground level as the water recedes.  The nature of these steps can be simple or complex and their size varies and designs are unusual.  This exhibition looks at subterranean architecture.

Private View: Thursday 18 March 2010, 6 - 8pm
Exhibition running from 18 March - 9 April 2010
