Green Gown 2009 Award Nomination for University
The University of Gloucestershire has once again been recognised for its commitment to sustainable development with it’s publication ‘Greener By Degrees’, co-edited by CeAL Director Carolyn Roberts and Jane Roberts former Principal lecturer at the University of Gloucestershire, being short listed for stage 2 of the 2009 Green Gown Awards in the ‘Continuous Improvement - Specific Area’ category.
Now in their fifth year, the Green Gown Awards recognise the exceptional initiatives being undertaken by universities and colleges across the UK to become more sustainable. The Awards are administered by the Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC) the sector champion for environment and sustainability and governed by a cross agency steering group of sector support agencies. The Awards are managed via a two stage process and the winners are announced at a prestigious gala banquet at Imperial College London on 23 June 2009.
