CeAL Building Learning Mentors In September 2006, with the opening of the CeAL building, eight Learning Mentors were employed through the University Peer Mentor scheme. The mentors were employed to provide learning support to users of the CeAL building, primarily students but also where appropriate staff. The CeAL building provided a new learning environment for the university in terms of the philosophy behind its design and the technology that was available for users. The Learning Mentors were therefore tasked with becoming proactive learning guides for the building. Providing support on using the facilities in the building and learning support. The Learning Mentors were drawn from 2nd, 3rd year and Postgraduate students. 13/06/2007
