The Countryside and Community Research Institute consists of a team of recognised rural experts, undertaking work funded through research grants and other research contracts, and working with industry to encourage knowledge transfer. Businesses can sign up to a new subsidised programme of environmental business support through the University. The support programme runs throughout 2007, and helps businesses tackle areas including waste, energy, pollution, environmental legislation, recycling, transport, ISO14001 and many other areas.
