Gloucestershire Enterprise Network (GEN)

The Centre for Enterprise and Innovation has recently launched the Gloucestershire Enterprise Network (GEN).

The county's new networking tool was developed in collaboration with Business Link Gloucestershire and Gloucestershire First, and is funded by the South West Regional Development Agency (SWRDA) and the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE).

The Gloucestershire Enterprise Network has been geared to enhance a feeling of community amongst businesses in the county. It provides the first one-stop resource for business support together with a platform for themed discussion and promotional activity for those engaged in economic activity in Gloucestershire.

GEN Membership - available at www.genonline.net - offers a number of benefits and services including:

• A directory of member organisations
• Up-to-date business news from the Echo & Citizen
• A calendar of business events taking place in the region
• Current job vacancies throughout the county
• Business support resources
• The latest invitations to tender from Gloucestershire Businesses
• Links to useful local associations
• Exhibition space for member companies
• Themed discussion forums
• Access to details of training courses available in the region
• Regular invitations to off-line networking opportunities
• Monthly newsletters

GEN members also have the opportunity to promote their own business by posting information to the site such as news, events and company details.

Off-line, GEN offers members a comprehensive programme of business events and networking opportunities throughout the county. We are planning the expansion of our existing event programme to include industry sector specific events, and always welcome event 'topics' and other input from our members.
